Treasures Withinby ~matildarose

Traditional Art / Paintings / Illustration / Storybook

This was done for a local fundraiser, whose theme was 'Treasures Within'. This was made to fit a frame with three slots for pictures, so originally these were seen as three separate images.

The piece was done as also a tribute to my cat Neko, who died not too long after I volunteered to donate work. Dealing with the sadness over that made me realize that, if there's any treasure within something, it's the relationship between person and pet. She can be seen in the middle picture.

Watercolor, estimated to be around 12" x 5"

Really beautiful piece, Whitney! It's a fitting tribute to Neko, and it's very obvious, both by knowing you and in the way you depicted her, that you loved her very much and that she had a wonderful life as your kitty!
